UPDATE: Patrol identifies 3 people killed in I-94 crash in Moorhead – InForum

MOORHEAD — The Minnesota State Patrol has identified three people who died in a crash involving a small SUV and two semis in the westbound lane of Interstate 94 in Moorhead on Friday, July 15.

The Patrol said those killed in the crash were the SUV driver, Robert Charles Correll, age 65, of Ham Lake, Minnesota, and two passengers; Linda Marie Correll, age 63, also of Ham Lake and Shirley Ann Gatzke, age 89, of Blaine, Minnesota.

According to a report from the Patrol, the Ford Edge and two semis were traveling west when one semi stopped in the construction zone, with the Ford stopping behind the semi. A second semi then collided with the rear of the Ford, pushing it into the rear of the first semi.

The crash was reported just after 2 p.m. Friday, just east of the intersection with Highway 75, where traffic was down to one lane for construction.

The Ford was crushed and emergency responders used panels to block it from view about 30 minutes after the crash.

One of the semis was driven by Kenneth Lee Jarvis, age 58, of Wells, Minnesota, while the other was driven by Maxim Rubin, age 49, from an unknown city, according to the report.

The Patrol did not indicate which driver was in the semi that started the rear-end crash.

It was the second crash on I-94 in that area in the past two days.

Five people were injured, one of them seriously, in a four-vehicle crash near Moorhead on Thursday, July 14, according to a report from the Patrol.

That crash happened about 10 a.m. just east of Moorhead. A 70-year-old woman sustained serious injuries
