Approximated go through time: A lot less than a minute
LEHI — Two people today ended up killed in a crash on I-15 late Thursday after a car or truck slammed into the back of an SUV stopped in targeted traffic.
Just in advance of 11 p.m., a Honda Pilot was stopped in website traffic near Lehi for an not known purpose. Utah Freeway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden mentioned the car did not have any tail lights on. It was not recognised Friday whether or not the car broke down on why it was stopped in the middle of visitors.
Other motorists named unexpected emergency dispatchers to report the disabled motor vehicle. But just one to two minutes immediately after dispatchers been given the 1st phone — and even though troopers ended up nonetheless en route to the scene — a Toyota Camry rear-finished the Honda, Roden mentioned.
A 47-year-old gentleman driving the Honda and a passenger in the Toyota, a 51-calendar year-outdated woman, had been taken to hospitals in exceptionally critical circumstances and each later died from their injuries. Their names have not however been introduced. The driver of the Toyota was also hospitalized, but listed in honest issue.
Northbound I-15 was shut down close to Lehi right up until about 2:30 a.m. Friday.
