TEMECULA, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter after her 8-yr-aged daughter was killed in a collision that injured various other people including 3 children, authorities reported.

The crash occurred Sunday evening along state Route 79 close to Temecula in Riverside County, the California Freeway Patrol said.

The 33-12 months-previous lady was driving a Honda Pilot in westbound lanes when the SUV drifted ideal on to the grime shoulder, the CHP explained in a assertion.

She tried using to pull the SUV again on to the highway but around-corrected and swerved into the opposing lane, colliding with a Chevy Silverado heading east, the statement stated.

Investigators said the 8-calendar year-old lady in the Honda was not donning a seatbelt and died at the scene.

Her mom and two other young children in the Honda, a 12-yr-previous boy and a 5-calendar year-old woman, ended up hospitalized with major injuries, officials claimed.

A few persons in the Silverado — a 46-12 months-old gentleman, a 43-12 months-aged lady and a 12-calendar year-old lady — were being also hospitalized.

The driver of the Honda faces multiple costs together with felony DUI, little one endangerment and gross vehicular manslaughter, according to the CHP.
